Enrollment
A Message From Our Superintendent
As I begin my second year as your superintendent, I am excited to welcome every student and family to the upcoming school year. Whether your child is joining us for the first time or returning, we look forward to partnering with you to make this a year filled with learning, growth, and success.
Online registration for returning students families will open on Monday, July 27. New students to the district can be registered during in person registration, August 11-13. This year, all families, both returning and new, will be asked to provide proof of residency during the registration process. Additional information is provided below.
Our theme for the 2026–2027 school year is "Moving Forward. Together."
This theme reflects our belief that education is a shared journey. When families, educators, administrators, support staff, and community members work together as partners, students benefit the most. Together, we celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and support every student as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
By encouraging one another, maintaining open communication, and working together toward common goals, we create an environment where every child can thrive and continue moving forward toward a bright future.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to celebrating new milestones, creating lasting memories, and continuing to move forward—together—for the success of every student.
Dr. Bryan Pettengill, Superintendent of Schools
Moving Forward.Together.

Enrollment FAQs
-
Who Can Register a Student?
A student's parent, military guardian, or court-appointed legal guardian must register the student.
Missouri law requires students under age 18 to attend school in the district where their parent, military guardian, or court-appointed legal guardian lives. The student must also live in the district.
What If the Parents Are Divorced or Share Custody?
If parents are divorced or share custody, the parent with primary physical custody usually registers the student.
If both parents share physical custody equally, either parent may register the student. However, the parents MUST decide which parent will be the Primary Parent in Infinite Campus. The other parent will be listed as the Secondary Parent.
The Primary Parent is the one who Infinite Campus designates as the person to register/enroll the student each year. This parent receives all communications/alerts, The Secondary Parent usually is able to view the same student information in Infinite Campus as the Primary Parent (based on parenting agreement), are marked as a guardian, receive communications/alerts, and mailings.
Important Information About Households
Infinite Campus only allows one parent to register a student each year. The Primary Parent must complete the new student or annual registration.
If you need to change which parent is listed as the Primary Parent, contact your student's school office before the next registration period begins.
Before You Start Registration
If you were previously listed as the Secondary Parent and now need to register your student as the Primary Parent, contact your student's school office first. The previous Primary Parent, should also contact the student’s building office if possible.
The school must update you and your student’s Infinite Campus account before you begin registration. Otherwise, your student may not appear in your Parent Portal correctly for registration purposes, and you may have to start the registration process over if you started without the student when beginning the registration process (if you have more than one student).
Before you begin registration, make sure all of the students you need to register appear in your Parent Portal and are listed on your initial online registration screen (if a returning family). You should complete one registration application which should include all students you should be listed as the Primary Parent for.

- A daycare provider the student attends on a regular basis.

- Both addresses are located within the Morgan County R-II School District transportation boundaries.
- Parents or legal guardians provide the student's custody schedule to the school before the start of the school year or whenever the custody arrangement changes.
- The custody schedule follows a consistent, recurring pattern, such as alternating weeks or designated weekdays.
Transportation will be provided according to the documented custody schedule. Requests for day to day or frequent transportation changes outside the approved schedule will not be accommodated.
