Morgan County R-II is a proud member of the Ozark Highland Conference and is home to a strong, growing program with a dedicated core of hardworking student-athletes. Contract: 9-month contract, 4-day school week
The Little Tigers Early Learning Center has one opening for a preschool teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires both Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education Certification, or the ability to obtain both certifications. At Little Tigers, we believe in providing as many hands-on opportunities as possible for our students and we are always looking for new ways to support our students. We are also excited about implementing a new curricular program, Frog Street, during the 26-27 school year. If you are passionate about our littlest learners and creating an educational environment that immerses students in their learning, we would love to talk with you!

DAY & EVENING SCHOOL CUSTODIANS
Reports To: Facilities/Maintenance Director
Starting Salary: $15.50/hour
Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment for students, staff, and community members. Performs routine cleaning, light maintenance, and security duties during scheduled hours (either day or evening) to ensure the facility for the instruction.
Essential Duties:
● Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
● Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and vacuum floors; empty trash and recycling.
● Sanitize restrooms, wipe desks and high-touch surfaces, restock supplies.
● Set up/tear down rooms for events and meetings.
● Lock and secure buildings at the end of shift.
● Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or vandalism.
● Perform minor repairs and operate custodial equipment safely.
● Assist with snow removal or weather-related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
● Custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
● Ability to operate cleaning equipment and follow safety procedures.
● Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
● Stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, and climbing.
● Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
Work Schedule:
● Daytime shift (typically before/during school hours) OR Evening shift (typically after school hours).
● Occasional overtime for special events or emergencies.

PARAPROFESSIONALS/SUPPORT STAFF:
Middle School Girls Physical Education Paraprofessional
Position Overview
The Morgan County R-II School District, Versailles Middle School, is seeking a dependable, student-centered Girls Physical Education Paraprofessional for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, nine-month position supervised and evaluated by the Versailles Middle School Principal.
The paraprofessional will assist the Physical Education teachers in creating a safe, organized, and positive learning environment for students in grades 6–8. Responsibilities include supporting instruction, supervising students, assisting with classroom and locker room management, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, and helping maintain equipment and daily operations within the physical education program.

Responsibilities
The paraprofessional will assist the physical education teacher with daily instruction and classroom activities, help supervise students during class, locker room transitions, and school-related activities, support student engagement, participation, and positive behavior during activities, reinforce safety procedures and appropriate sportsmanship during all activities, assist with setting up, organizing, and maintaining gym equipment and materials, help monitor attendance and student accountability, support students with varying needs and abilities during instruction and activities, maintain a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all students, communicate effectively with staff and administration regarding student concerns or needs, and assist with other duties assigned by the administration or supervising teacher.
Qualifications
Minimum of 60 college hours, substitute certificate, or qualifications required by Missouri DESE for paraprofessional positions, experience working with middle school-aged students preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively with staff and students, positive attitude and ability to build relationships with students, and interest in physical education, fitness, athletics, or student wellness preferred.

GIFTED & TALENTED TEACHER
Position: Gifted & Talented Teacher
School Year: 2026-2027
Contract: 9 month contract, Four-Day School Week
The Morgan County R-II School District (Versailles, MO) is seeking a full-time Gifted & Talented Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants must hold a valid Missouri DESE Gifted Education certification or demonstrate willingness to obtain certification within a district-approved timeline. This is a nine-month contract. The position is supervised and evaluated by the Director of Special Services.
Primary Duties:
- Provide direct instructional services to students identified as gifted in accordance with Missouri DESE guidelines.
- Collaborate with general educational teachers to support differentiated and enriched instruction.
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, and placement of gifted students.
- Develop and implement appropriate learning plans and enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators.
- Participate in professional development, meetings, and other duties as assigned.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:
The district is always looking for qualified candidates to substitute for our current certified teaching staff. If you are interested in substituting, you must first complete a Support Teaching Application and turn it in to Danielle Johnson, Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools, at the Central Administrative Offices.
